Update on St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception

Dear Friends in Christ,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that after 197 years of Catholic ministry and service in Pawtucket and in the Diocese of Providence, RI – on February 1, 2026 St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception celebrated it’s final Mass. Operations were ceased at the Parish following the final Mass.

The office of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception is now closed and all business related to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception should be conducted through the office of St. John the Baptist Parish at 69 Quincy Ave in Pawtucket. The office phone number is 401-722-9054.

All sacramental information for St. Mary’s., St. Edward’s, and St. Maria Goretti’s can be attained through St. John the Baptist Parish. Likewise, all records for Old St. Mary’s Cemetery are also retain there.
